- 1 to 2 lb. hamburger
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 46 oz. can tomato juice
- 15 oz. can red kidney beans
- 15 oz. can chili hot beans
- 10 oz. can diced tomatoes and green chilies
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. brown sugar (loose)
- 1 to 2 tsp. salt
- 1 to 2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cool water
Directions

1Brown meat and onion until meat is browned.

2Add next 9 ingredients and cook at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

3Mix together cornstarch and water, stirring until smooth.

4Add to chili and cook about 15 minutes longer before serving.
