  • 1/4 (No. 10) can red beans
  • 1 lb. 10 oz. ground beef
  • 2 oz. onions
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/4 (No. 10) can crushed tomatoes or tomato puree
  • 1/4 (No. 10) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder

    Chop onion.

    Brown beef, onions and seasonings.

    Drain fat. Add to hamburger mixture the water and tomatoes.

    Add chili powder.

    Simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours until flavors are blended.

    Stir frequently.
