Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground meat (beef, turkey, pork, etc.)
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 large green bell pepper, diced
  • 4 gloves garlic, diced
  • 1 (16 oz.) can mushroom pieces and stems
  • 2 (32 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 c. red kidney beans, canned or cooked (throw juice away)
  • Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 c. chili powder
  • 1/8 c. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Saute onion, green pepper, mushrooms and garlic in water until tender.

    Add ground meat and continue to cook on medium heat until browned.

    Add tomatoes and spices.

    Simmer on low heat for 1 hour. Add beans and heat thoroughly.

    Use Tabasco to add as much zip as you and your family like.
