- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- mushrooms (optional)
- 1/2 green pepper, cut up
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans kidney beans
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 pkg. chili flavoring
Directions

1Brown (in large pan) ground beef.

2Add onions, celery and garlic and cook until soft.

3Add tomatoes and tomato sauce.

4Cook about 1 hour; add green pepper.

5Cook 2 to 3 minutes.

6Add kidney beans and heat.

7Serve over mashed or baked potatoes.

8Top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
