Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 green pepper, cut up
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans kidney beans
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. chili flavoring

Directions

    Brown (in large pan) ground beef.

    Add onions, celery and garlic and cook until soft.

    Add tomatoes and tomato sauce.

    Cook about 1 hour; add green pepper.

    Cook 2 to 3 minutes.

    Add kidney beans and heat.

    Serve over mashed or baked potatoes.

    Top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
