  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 qt. whole, peeled tomatoes
  • 1 qt. tomato juice
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes (adds color)
  • 1 spring onion (adds color)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 to 2 tsp. chili powder, depending on taste
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. ketchup

    Brown ground beef until done.

    Drain.

    Blend all ingredients in large pot on stove.

    Cook on low-medium heat until desired consistency is attained, usually 1 hour.
