- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 medium onion, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
- chili powder to taste
- 2 cans kidney beans (light or dark)
- 1 can tomato juice
Directions

1Brown the hamburger in a 2-quart or bigger cooking pot. Halfway through the browning process, add the diced onion, salt and pepper to taste and 1 to 2 tablespoons of chili powder.

2Drain if needed.

3Add the cans of kidney beans, juice and all.

4Add tomato juice.

5Cook on medium heat until it starts to boil.

6Stir often.

7Turn down to low heat and simmer for at least 1 hour.

8You can add more chili powder if you like it hotter.

9This is always better the next day.
