  • 1 lb. beef stew meat
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cut stew meat into 1/2-inch cubes.

    Saute beef in oil until meat is brown.

    Add seasoning, tomato sauce and water.

    Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 1 hour.

    Empty beans into colander and rinse bean juice off beans.

    Add beans and heat.
