- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 2 cans tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
- sour cream (optional)
Directions

1Heat oil in a skillet.

2Saute onion, bell peppers and garlic until tender.

3Remove from skillet.

4Brown beef; drain.

5Put onion/peppers back in skillet and add tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, red pepper, salt and pepper.

6Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7Add kidney beans and simmer for 10 minutes.

8Serve with some Cheddar or sour cream as desired.
