Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pinto beans, cooked
  • 1 lb. ground meat, browned
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 6 to 12 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large can tomatoes, cut
  • 2 small carrots, sliced into small pieces
  • celery, cut small
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 pkg. chili mix (French's)
  • chili powder to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • dash or 2 Texas Pete (optional)
  • 2 jalapeno peppers (optional), cut fine (if you like it hot)

Directions

    When ground meat is almost done, add tomato paste, carrots, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, celery and chili mix; bring to a boil.

    Add chili powder, black pepper, Texas Pete and jalapeno peppers if you wish.

    Mix with beans; bring to a boil. Turn on low heat and simmer 10 minutes. Ready to eat. Enjoy!
