- 1 can chili hot beans
- 1 can light red kidney beans
- 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder or to taste
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. catsup
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Brown ground chuck in skillet.

2In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients.

3Bring to a rolling boil.

4Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 1 hour.

5(Add additional water if more broth is desired or to keep from sticking.) Top with shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, if desired.
