  • 4 or 5 yellow apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. orange or pineapple juice
  • 1/4 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • pastry for a 2-crust pie

    Put the apples, 1/2 cup sugar, juice and margarine into a saucepan
