- 2 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 c. onion, chopped fine
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1/4 c. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. Accent
- 3 c. boiling water
Directions

1Put hamburger in heavy saucepan with tight lid; cook until tender, about 40 minutes in its own juice, stirring often.

2Saute onion and Crisco.

3Add chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and Accent.

4Add the onion and seasonings to steamed meat.

5Add 3 cups of boiling water and stir well.

6Cover and allow to simmer 20 minutes.

7Cook and fill top of biscuits with chili mixture.

8Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over top of chili biscuits.

9Put in oven long enough to melt cheese.

10Makes 5 dozen.
