- 1 1/4 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. chopped mild green chilies
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Grease cornstick pan well.

3In medium bowl combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

4Mix well. Add egg, milk and oil.

5With wire whisk beat just until smooth (1 minute).

6Stir in cheese and chilies.

7Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
