- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (14 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
- 1 (14 oz.) can chili seasoned beans
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce (no salt added)
- 1 c. water
- 1 (14 oz.) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- red and black pepper to taste
Directions

1On medium-high heat, brown meat in large pot.

2Drain and rinse to remove fat.

3Meanwhile, chop onion.

4Add onion to meat and stir under onions until tender.

5Add remaining ingredients to pot and let the chili come to a boil.

6Turn down heat.

7Cover and let the chili simmer for 20 minutes.

8Can also be frozen and reheated.

9Makes 8 (1-cup) servings.
