Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
  • 1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans and liquid
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans Hunt's tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

    In large skillet brushed with Wesson oil, brown ground beef, onion and green pepper; pour off fat.

    Add macaroni, kidney beans, Hunt's tomato sauce, water, chili powder and salt.

    Cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Top with cheese and heat until it melts.
