Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 c. cooked macaroni
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 c. chopped tomatoes
  • 1 c. kidney beans
  • 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Cook first 4 ingredients in large pan over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble beef.

    Drain well.

    Wipe pan with paper towel.

    Return beef mixture to pan.

    Add cooked elbow macaroni and next 6 ingredients.

    Stir well.

    Bring to boil. Cover.

    Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.

    Top with cheese.
