  • 20 ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 6 green peppers, chopped
  • 10 onions, chopped
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 red pepper, chopped

Directions

    Boil one hour tomatoes, green peppers, onions and vinegar. Add sugar and salt.

    Cook slowly another hour.

    Add spices.

    Stir. Put sauce in canning jars, process in hot water bath for 15 minutes.
