Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground sirloin
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 c. fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/3 c. chili powder or to taste
  • 1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes
  • 2 cans (No. 303) kidney beans
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Heat oil in pot and brown pieces of meat until it loses its red color.

    Add all other ingredients except beans and simmer for 1 hour.

    Check occasionally to make sure it does not stick to bottom.

    About 15 minutes before serving, add drained beans.

    If you like moist chili do not drain beans.

    Heat and serve with hard crust buns.
