Ingredients

  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 lbs ground beef (steak, roast or leftover hamburger patties )
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) canpetite diced tomatoes
  • 1 -2 tablespoon diced green chilis
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 14 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 -4 dashed taco sauce (see submitted recipe )
  • beef broth

Directions

    Drain beans and set aside.

    Heat oil and saute onions until soft.

    Add garlic meat and seasonings, and flour, cook meat until brown.

    Add tomatoes and beans.

    Add 1-2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth to desired consistency.

    Add taco sauce to taste.

    Simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.

    Serve in bread bowls or with crackers.
