- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. celery, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 cans undiluted mushroom soup
- 1 can bean sprouts, drained
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1 1/2 c. Minute rice, uncooked
- 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 6 or 8 oz. pkg. chow mein noodles
Directions

1Saute onions and celery until tender.

2Add ground beef.

3When brown add soup, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, rice and soy sauce. Pour into a large casserole and bake, covered, for 30 minutes at 350°.

4Stir casserole.

5Bake 30 minutes more, uncovered.

6Add noodles to top if desired toward end of baking time.
