- 3 egg yolks
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 3 egg whites
Directions

1Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored and add sugar gradually.

2Add the three dry ingredients which have been mixed together.

3Add vanilla and fold in dates and nuts.

4Fold in the 3 egg whites which have beaten stiff.

5Bake in a (9 x 13-inch) pan at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

6Cut in squares when cool.
