  • 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk, separated
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3/4 c. melted oleo
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

    Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk in double boiler or microwave. Set aside.

    Grease 9 x 13-inch pan and flour.

    In large bowl combine dry cake mix, oleo and 1/3 cup milk.

    Press 1/2 of dough in pan and bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

    Sprinkle chocolate chips over cake.

    Spread caramel over chips.

    Crumble remaining dough on top. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

    Cool.

    Then put in refrigerator before serving.

    Cut into tiny squares.
