Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • few drops water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. plus 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
  • 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips

Directions

    Cream together brown sugar, white sugar, margarine, vanilla and a few drops of water.

    Add 2 eggs.

    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.

    Add to creamed mixture.

    If too stiff, add a few more drops of water.

    Stir in chopped nuts.

    Spread into a greased and floured 15 x 10-inch cookie sheet with edge.

    Sprinkle bag of chocolate chips over the batter and put into a 350° oven for 3 minutes.

    Remove from oven and run a knife over pan both ways to marbelize, then return to oven for 12 minutes.
