  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sour milk or butter milk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Combine water, butter and cocoa in sauce pan and bring to boil. Combine sugar and flour in large bowl. Pour hot cocoa mixture over sugar and flour. Add eggs, baking soda, milk and salt. Blend well. Pour into greased and floured cookie sheet. Add nuts if desired.
