  • 2 c. sifted cake flour (sift before measuring)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. salad dressing
  • 3/4 c. cold water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Add salad dressing.

    Blend thoroughly. Add water and vanilla gradually.

    Stir until smooth.

    Pour into two 8-inch pans.

    Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes or 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan until done, approximately 30 minutes at 350°.

    Frost with favorite frosting.
