  • 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk, divided
  • 1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. regular German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In top of double boiler, over medium heat, combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
