- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tbsp. butter, softened
- 1-1/3 tbsp. vanilla
- 48 maraschino cherries, with stems
- 9 oz. semi sweet chocolate
- 2 tbsp. oil
Directions

1Combine first four ingredients; cream well.

2Shape 48 3/4-inch balls.

3Set on waxed paper lined baking sheet.

4Chill 1 hour.

5Drain cherries and pat dry.

6Flatten balls and spatula and carefully wrap around cherries, encasing to base of stem.

7Return to baking sheet; chill 3 hours.

8Melt chocolate with oil in top of double boiler over hot, not boiling, water.

9Hold each cherry by its stem and dip into chocolate, covering well.

10Return again to baking sheet and chill for 2hours.
