  • 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dried tart cherries, finely chopped
  • 2 ounces (1/2 cup) dark or milk chocolate candy bar, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped

    Combine butter, brown sugar and almond extract in bowl.

    Beat at medium speed until well mixed.

    Add flour, cherries and chocolate.

    Continue beating at low speed until mixture leaves sides of bowl and forms dough.

    Divide dough in half; shape each half into 6x2-inch log.

    Place chopped pistachios onto waxed paper.

    Roll logs in pistachios to coat.

    Wrap each log in plastic food wrap; refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 3 days.
