- 1 envelope (1 Tbsp.) unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Soften gelatin in the 1/4 cup cold water.

2Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored.

3Gradually beat in the 1/3 cup sugar; add salt and vanilla.

4Combine chocolate and the 1/2 cup water.

5Stir over low heat until blended.

6Add softened gelatin and stir to dissolve.

7Immediately beat chocolate mixture into beaten egg yolks.

8Chill until mixture is partially set.
