  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. sugar

    Soften gelatin in the 1/4 cup cold water.

    Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored.

    Gradually beat in the 1/3 cup sugar; add salt and vanilla.

    Combine chocolate and the 1/2 cup water.

    Stir over low heat until blended.

    Add softened gelatin and stir to dissolve.

    Immediately beat chocolate mixture into beaten egg yolks.
