  • 2 c. white bread, crust removed and cut into cubes
  • 1/2 c. chocolate chips
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

    Combine bread cubes and 1/4 cup chocolate chips in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    In a separate bowl, combine beaten eggs, sugar, salt, milk and vanilla.

    Stir until well mixed.

    Pour mixture over bread.

    Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over this. Place casserole dish in a pan of water and bake at 350° for one hour.
