- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix together flour and sugar in a large bowl. Set aside.

2Put margarine, cocoa and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.

3Pour cocoa mixture over flour and sugar. Mix until well blended. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well. Batter will be thin.

4Pour batter into greased and floured 11 x 13-inch pan.

5Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

6As soon as cake is removed from the oven, spread icing on top.
