Chocolate-Cinnamon Rolls

- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 1 egg
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in mixing bowl.

2Add shortening, sugar, cocoa, salt and only 1 cup of the flour.

3Mix well.

4Then stir in the remaining 1 1/4 cups flour and blend well, scraping down bowl.

5Add the egg and beat 2 minutes at medium speed with mixer or beat 300 strokes by hand.

6Scrape down bowl.

7Cover with cloth and let rise in warm place until double in bulk (about 1 hour).

8Stir down, beating about 25 strokes.
