- Oil for greasing pan
- 1 1/4 cups cake flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 23 cup water
- 1 1/2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup baby-food prunes
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Lightly grease a 9-inch-square baking pan with oil.

3Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

4In another bowl, stir sugar and water with fork or wire whisk until blended.

5Stir egg whites and prunes into sugar mixture until thoroughly blended.

6Gradually add flour mixture, stirring until smooth.

7Pour into prepared pan.

8Bake about 30 to 35 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
