- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1/4 c. nuts
- 1/2 c. well drained maraschino cherries, chopped
Directions

1Sift together sifted flour and salt.

2Cream butter.

3Gradually add sifted confectioners sugar, creaming well.

4Add vanilla and almond extract.

5Beat well.

6Blend in the dry ingredients, nuts and well drained maraschino cherries.

7Shape dough into balls, using a rounded teaspoonful for each.

8Place on ungreased baking sheet.

9Bake in moderate oven at 325° for 10 minutes.

10Cool thoroughly.

11Dip in Chocolate Glaze.

12Let stand on rack until chocolate hardens (2 to 3 hours).
