- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- dash of salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie crust
- meringue
Directions

1Combine first 4 ingredients in a large microwave-safe bowl. Mix together well.

2Add egg yolks and milk.

3Mix together well. Place in microwave on High for 3 minutes.

4Stir well.

5Repeat in 3 minute intervals until thick (usually 2 more times).

6Add butter and vanilla.

7Mix until butter is melted.

8Spoon into pastry shell.

9Spread meringue over hot filling, sealing to edge of pastry.

10Bake at 325° for 25 to 28 minutes.
