- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups Vanilla Buttercream
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a muffin tin with paper liners; set aside.

2In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt until thoroughly blended. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and stir in egg yolk, sour cream, 1/4 cup water and vanilla; whisk until smooth.

3Spoon batter into prepared cups. Bake until a cake tester comes out clean, 20 minutes. Let pan cool completely on a rack.

4Frost with buttercream and decorate as desired.
