- 5 c. sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1/4 lb. margarine
- 12 oz. Marshmallow Creme
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 2 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Directions

1Combine sugar, milk, margarine, Marshmallow Creme and salt in a 4-quart saucepan.

2Stir over low heat until blended.

3Bring to a boil over moderate heat.

4Do not mistake escaping air bubbles for boiling.

5Boil slowly, stirring constantly for 5 minutes (to soft ball stage).

6Remove from heat; stir in chocolate, vanilla and nuts.

7Stir until chocolate is melted.

8Pour into 2 buttered 9 x 9-inch pans and cool.

9Yields 5 pounds.

10Recipe can be halved.
