  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream together sugar, Crisco and oil.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Mix together flour, cocoa, salt and soda.

    Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk until well mixed.

    Bake in three 9-inch cake pans (greased and floured). Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
