Chocolate Meringue Pie

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions

    Beat egg yolks and add milk.

    Sift flour, cocoa and salt; place in top of double boiler.

    Stir 1/3 of milk and egg mixture into dry ingredients.

    Cook until mixture thickens; then add butter and vanilla.

    Cool; pour into baked pie shell.

    Put beaten egg whites on top and brown.
