Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. cold water
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 6 egg whites
  • 2 pt. heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt chocolate bits and water in double boiler.

    Add sugar and mix well.

    Remove from heat; add egg yolks and cool.

    Beat egg whites to peaks.

    Fold into chocolate mixture.

    Beat 1 pint of cream with vanilla.

    Fold into chocolate mixture and chill for 24 hours.
  8. 8
    Whip the remaining 1 pint of cream for a garnish on top of mousse.
