Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. bar sweet baking chocolate
  • 3 Tbsp. brewed coffee
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 1 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped

Directions

    Put chocolate and coffee in a double boiler until melted and smooth.

    Let cool.

    In separate bowl, beat egg yolks.

    Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

    Stir in chocolate mixture and vanilla.

    Fold in egg whites gently but thoroughly and then fold in the whipped cream.

    Turn into 1 1/2-quart bowl and chill for 4 hours.

    Garnish top with chocolate curls.
