Chocolate Nut Balls

- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped peanuts
- flaked coconut
Directions

1In a medium saucepan, melt chocolate chips and margarine over low heat, stirring frequently.

2Remove pan from heat.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Beat in egg until smooth and glossy. Add sifted powdered sugar, vanilla and salt.

5Mix well. Stir in the 1/2 cup coconut and the chopped peanuts. Chill about 1 hour.

6Form into 1-inch balls.

7Roll in additional flaked coconut.

8Arrange on a baking sheet. Chill at least 3 hours or until firm.

9Makes about 2 1/2 dozen balls.
