- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cook the sugar with the butter and milk until they reach the soft ball stage.

2(To test, drop a few drops of the mixture into a cup of cold water and roll them between the thumb and first finger.)

3Add the chocolate chips and beat until the icing reaches a consistency for spreading.

4Just before icing the cake, fold in the nuts.
