  • 1 1/8 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 2 1/4 c. sweet milk
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix together sugar, cocoa, flour, cornstarch and salt in saucepan.

    Add milk; mix well.
  3. 3
    Cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils.

    Boil one minute.
  5. 5
    Add part of cooked mixture to beaten egg yolks, stirring to keep from lumping.
  6. 6
    Put all back into saucepan and cook one minute. Cool. Put in cooked pie crust.

    Top with meringue.
