  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/4 c. milk

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients with milk and cook until thick.

    Beat egg yolks until stiff and add to mixture (save the egg whites for the meringue).

    Cook about 1 minute longer.

    Add butter and vanilla. Stir well.

    Remove from heat and pour into a baked pie shell. Cover pie with meringue and bake at 350° until the tips of the meringue turn brown.

    Let cool and serve.
