  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa

    Separate egg whites from yolks.

    Beat egg yolks.

    Combine sugar, cornstarch and cocoa.

    Add to eggs.

    Add milk.

    Cook in double boiler until thick.

    Add butter and flavoring.

    Pour into a cooked pie shell.

    Use egg whites for meringue.

    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned in a 400° oven.
