  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 heaping Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 2 2/3 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 (9-inch) pie crusts, baked

Directions

    Mix flour, sugar and cocoa in saucepan. Add beaten egg yolks, milk and vanilla. Mix well. Add butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Pour into shells. Beat egg whites with sugar until egg whites form peaks. Spread over chocolate mixture. Bake at 375° for 5 to 7 minutes or until browned and set.
