Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1 small can chocolate syrup (5.5 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs (save 3 whites for meringue)

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except vanilla and butter, in saucepan. Cook slowly, stirring constantly, until thick (just to a boil). Remove from heat.

    Add vanilla and butter.

    Pour into baked pie shell.

    Top with meringue and brown.
