- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 3/4 c. light corn syrup
- 2 tsp. cider vinegar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. evaporated milk
- 2 qt. popped corn
Directions

1Combine sugar, cocoa, corn syrup, vinegar and salt thoroughly in a heavy 4-quart saucepan.

2Add butter and cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil.

3Gradually add evaporated milk.

4Cook and stir over low heat until mixture reaches 265° (hard ball stage) or until small amount dropped in cold water forms a hard ball.

5Stir into popcorn.

6Butter hands.

7Quickly roll large spoonfuls of mixture into 4-inch balls.

8Makes 20 balls.
