  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sweet milk

Directions

    Cream margarine and Crisco together.

    Cream in sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one.

    Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa.

    Add alternately with milk and vanilla.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a greased and floured tube pan.

    Let cool before removing from pan.
